Über uns
It all starts in 2014, when the two juniors from the Würenlos rugby club, Jeremy and Joel, were selected for the U-18 European Championships in Poland. This success of the two Hausen veterans also made waves among their friends. Inspired by the success and interest of their colleagues, they decide to set up their own rugby club in Hausen. This is how the Hausen Baboons Rugby Club (HBRC) was founded in 2014 by 8 friends. Admiration for the sport and the team spirit exuded by this young team quickly grew. Currently , Joel is still playing in the village club, which now has around 30 active members and has also had a women's team for a year.
Jeremy now plays professional rugby in France. Coached by several coaches from New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa and France, the men's team has won various tournaments in Switzerland and has also taken part in the European 7s Series in Paris, Brussels and Bern competing against semi-professional teams from all over Europe. Our team trains twice a week in Hausen. While training takes place on the grass in spring, summer and autumn, training in winter takes place on the hard court or in the club's own gym in the gym. In addition to the official training sessions, the gym is available for players to prepare individually for the season.
